Authentic, American manufactured mid 20th century galvanized metal stern lantern that we've re-purposed into functional table lamp. A wonderful old American-made seafaring marine lantern that survives with lots of nautical appeal. The molded acrylic Fresnel lens is clear and in good functioning condition, but does show some heat crazing, especially on the lower section of the lense. Retains a pleasing old dark pewter grey surface patina. The lantern opens at the bottom to access the interior light and retains the polished metal reflector. The maker’s tag (originally attached to the front of the light, just above the lense) is missing, but we believe this is a Perko Perkins marine light. A great old nautical lamp with lots of maritime charm, re-purposed for today’s nautical home.
The lamp lighting choices toggle between the interior light and the lamp light via the upper light switch. You can use either the upper room light, the interior lantern light or both as desired. Measures 18 1/4 inches tall to the top of the shade (as shown) and 6 inches across the back
