Brass ship's masthead light that was repurposed long ago into a nautical table lamp. Early 20th century maritime lantern with purple hue glass lense, free of chips or cracks, and is safeguarded by a brass "cage". Retains a wonderful old seaworn bronze patina. Upper swing handle was removed when converted to a lamp. The lamp body has a dent on the starboard side. Missing maker's tag but we are pretty sure that this fixture was made by Perkins Marine Lamp Co., Brooklyn New York. Open at bottom to access the interior lantern light. We have replaced all of the old lamp hardware with new.
